Welcome to Mother Phoenix Rising! We are dedicated to encouraging and uplifting the lives of all women especially after they have reached the magical age of 50+. Our mission is to provide inspiration and guidance for each woman to connect with her higher-self and live her BEST life possible with creative support, intention, encouragement, confidence and strength. With our support, we want women to know they have the power within themselves to reshape their lives and create an inner balance.  

My name is Dedra Johanneson and for years it has been my dream to write a book for women over 50. During the last 5 years, I have focused my time and energy towards publishing books and creating a website that would encourage and enlighten women over the age of 50 from all walks of life. It has been an incredibly rewarding journey as this process has helped me develop in ways I never thought possible! I wish that I could have enjoyed the personal touch of a website or book that was embracing and helped bring out the best in me as I was approaching 50.  

The expression, ‘If you build it, they will come’ rang true for me. My hope is that many women will find this site beneficial to them, even if it simply opens your eyes to the possibilities in front of you. Change can be difficult, thus is the flow of life. If you had lived your life in routine, some behaviors and perspectives are quite hard to shift - old habits are hard to break right? But when you decide it’s time to transform your old perspectives, you will realize you don’t need to change right away. You only need to believe in yourself and know that you can change if you will to. The choice stands before you, right here right now. Whether you take advantage of the opportunities presented to you or you choose to let them go, the choice will always be yours.

Much of my personal success is contributed to pure determination and passion. My journey has taught me that every woman can succeed in whatever she chooses to do, no matter her age, education, or background. Me myself, I have worn the hat of a Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Teacher, Wife, Friend, successful Business-Owner and CEO of a chain of Supermarkets, Coach, Business Owner of Management Training Company/Speakers Bureau, Professional Speaker, Investor, Cosplayer, and I have donated years of my time and professional advice to various Executive and Nonprofit Organizations. In the end, the only thing that matters is what ever You choose to do, always decide with strength and passion in your mind, heart and soul.
